High Protein Bagels
If you’re craving a home-made, delicious bagel that’s also high in protein, these bagels are it!
The ingredients are simple and easy to find in your fridge/pantry so let’s get into it.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup flour
- 1.5 teaspoons of baking powder
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- Sesame seeds, poppy seeds or everything bagel seasoning
- 1 egg yolk
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mix the flour and baking powder in a bowl and add in the yogurt and mix with your hands. Add flour to a cutting board or the counter top and knead the dough well. Roll the dough into a bagel shape (this mixture should make you between 4-6 bagels depending on bagel size you prefer). whisk the egg yolk and brush the egg yolk onto the bagels and add the topping of your choice (sesame seeds/poppy seeds or everything bagel seasoning). Throw into the oven for 20-25 minutes – et voila – enjoy!
